The FACupFactfile Team Awards (FACTAs)
The FACTAs were established in 2015 are are the only football awards that recognise the successes and achievements made by Non-League clubs in the FA Cup each season.
By the time the 3rd Round comes around, and definitely when the Final takes place in May, the contributions and exploits of Non-League clubs to the success of the FA Cup are largely forgotten.
The FACTAs are designed to shine a light on the performances and records achieved amongst the 644 Non-League clubs who participate in the FA Cup, many of whom begin their campaigns in early August.
There are typically four FACTAs each year with clubs nominated and voted on by thousands of Non-League and FA Cup fans. The 2019-20 season saw the introduction of a panel of experts to assess the FACTA nominees and the winners were determined by a combination of fans' and panel member votes.
The four FACTA categories are:
Team of the FA Cup FACTA - Awarded to the club that best represents Non-League clubs in FA Cup.
Performance of the FA Cup FACTA - Awarded to the club with the best one-off result or performance.
Surprise of the FA Cup FACTA - Awarded to the club that produced an unexpected result or Cup run.
Special Team Award FACTA - Awarded to the club that epitomises the spirit of the FA Cup & Non-League.
